Joint effort between Florida and Georgia law enforcement leads to the capture of armed burglary suspects.
Two fugitives wanted for a series of armed vehicle burglaries in Georgia were arrested yesterday by Florida law enforcement. The operation, which involved multiple sheriff’s offices and advanced technology, successfully brought two dangerous individuals into custody without incident.
The arrests began on Friday, when the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (GA), located and apprehended Yoseph Robinson of Live Oak, Florida.
Robinson was a key suspect in a string of armed vehicle burglaries in Pierce County, including a particularly brazen case where suspects allegedly fired shots at a homeowner.

Following Robinson’s arrest, investigators quickly gathered intelligence on the whereabouts of a 17-year-old juvenile also wanted in connection with the same crimes.
Deputies, supported by undercover officers from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, located the teen and conducted a felony traffic stop on US Highway 90. The juvenile was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Suwannee County Jail.

A critical component of the operation was the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office drone unit. The drones provided real-time aerial security, offering deputies and tactical teams crucial intelligence that allowed them to carry out the arrests safely and effectively, deputies say.
