A Florida man is accused of brutally beating and strangling his estranged girlfriend, after following the woman to Mississippi with the intent to kill.

62-year-old Becky Endres had a protection order filed against her boyfriend, Andrew Moore Luckhurst, 44 of Eustis, but the man followed her to Gulfport, Mississippi, to kill her.

Luckhurst, 44, was found inside Endres’ new home on Robinson Road last Friday with the 62-year-old woman’s body.

Police said that once at the scene, officers saw Endres’ head and face covered with fresh blood and bruises.

Authorities claim she had been strangled and sustained blunt force trauma.

Court documents show that Luckhurst had previously been charged with battery over an incident that led the victim to file a restraining order against him on August 23, 2022.

Luckhurst was charged on Aug. 15, 2022, for battery as a second offense, witness tampering, and criminal mischief after a woman said Luckhurst beat her.

Police said that in August, the victim was left with “red marks around her neck, bruising on her left arm that she was using to hold the right side of her rib cage as she winced in pain every time she took a deep breath.”

“She also had red marks around her neck, bruising on her left arm that she was using to hold the right side of her rib cage as she winced in pain every time she took a deep breath,” police wrote. She also had bruising and major swelling to her right forearm, they said. Both abuse incidents involved Luckhurst allegedly drinking.

The previous year, Endres accused Luckhurst of battery, telling 911 dispatchers “he is going to kill me,” though she ultimately dropped the charges in that case.

Luckhurst is being held without bail at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
