Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia announced his official endorsement of Byron Donalds for governor today, highlighting Donalds’ legislative record and private-sector background.
In a statement, Ingoglia emphasized Donalds’ previous experience in both the Florida House and Congress. He noted that Donalds’ time working in the private sector provides him with the necessary qualifications to address ongoing state issues, specifically mentioning economic affordability and the property insurance market.
“Byron Donalds has a rock-solid conservative record in the Florida House and Congress, and his time in the private sector makes him well-qualified to tackle issues like affordability and the insurance market in Florida,” Ingoglia said. “I am proud to endorse Byron to be Florida’s next Governor: he will defend and advance our conservative gains and soundly defeat the radical Democrats who are trying to destroy the Sunshine State we all know and love.”
Donalds responded to the endorsement by stating it represents a shared focus on maintaining the state’s current political trajectory while addressing economic challenges affecting residents and local businesses.
“I’m honored to have Blaise’s endorsement and proud to have him in this fight,” Donalds said. “Together we’ll continue building an economy that works for families, protecting the freedoms that make our state exceptional, and delivering the conservative leadership Floridians expect.”
The announcement follows several other high-profile endorsements for Donalds from Florida Republican leaders, including Attorney General James Uthmeier, as well as the state’s incoming House Speaker and Senate President.
