Left-wing state Rep. Anna Eskamani is the go-to Democratic voice for the liberal media in Florida.
No matter the topic, and no matter how far outside her Orlando district it happens, Eskamani will offer an opinion on any subject, usually from the far left and against the GOP and common sense.
This week, she also tossed out a remark that made one Democrat privately lament that she and others like her are why Democrats lose in the Sunshine State.
The Florida Standard, a conservative website, reported on Tuesday about the Democrats’ protest at the state Capitol of the so-called “anti-trans bill” — presumably a reference to the Republican-backed legislation that prohibits gender transition procedures for children under 18.

As other lawmakers whipped the leftist crowd into an anti-DeSantis frenzy, Eskamani stepped to the mic to deliver her take.
“You are erasing our trans babies!” she bellowed.
She became an instant social media sensation.
“It remains unclear what exactly ‘trans babies’ are and who is ‘erasing’ them,” the Florida Standard reported.
“Democrats, Republicans, and members of the public alike are mystified at the meaning of Eskamani’s outburst.”
The website noted that it reached out to new Florida Democratic Party chairwoman Nikki Fried, who apparently refused to respond to a request for comment.

But one Democrat had a thought.
“Anna is why we lose,” a top Democrat, who spoke anonymously, told The Florida Standard.
However, Conservatives were inclined to give their thoughts on Eskamani’s rant.
Fox News host Dan Bongino tweeted the Standard’s story, and added, “Make NO mistake, we are dealing with absolute insanity. To call these people lunatics is insulting to lunatics. We MUST protect the children from this evil.”
Christina Pushaw, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign spokeswoman, also tweeted the story, including direct comments from the piece: “Florida Democrat Anna Eskamani: ‘You Are Erasing Our Trans Babies!’ ‘Anna is why we lose,’ says top FL Democrat.”

John Stemberger, president of the Florida Family Policy Council, said on Twitter, “I guess they don’t have actual arguments but only nonsensical slogans and ad hominem personal attacks.”
