A Louisiana man is facing multiple charges after a physical altercation at a Florida McDonald’s escalated to a firearm threat, leading to his arrest and the discovery of a stolen handgun. The incident occurred on Friday, June 20th.
Walton County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the McDonald’s in Miramar Beach after reports of a physical disturbance involving a suspect and a juvenile. It was reported that during the altercation, the suspect brandished a handgun and threatened to kill the juvenile.

Upon the arrival of deputies, the suspect, later identified as Kevonta Demouchet, 26, of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, fled the scene on foot. Deputies quickly located Demouchet, who subsequently led them to the location where he had hidden the handgun while attempting to evade capture.
Further investigation revealed that the recovered firearm had been reported stolen during a burglary in Louisiana.

Demouchet was arrested and charged with several offenses, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, child abuse without great bodily harm, tampering with evidence, grand theft of a firearm, improper exhibition of a firearm, obstruction without violence, and use of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
He was transported to the Walton County Jail and was released on a $10,000 bond on Sunday, June 22nd.
