Florida Fugitive Nabbed In Arkansas On 80 Counts Of CSAM

Authorities have tracked down and arrested 52-year-old Adam Wahlgren in Lonoke, Arkansas, following an intensive investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).

Attorney General James Uthmeier confirmed the arrest on Tuesday, noting that Wahlgren now faces 80 separate counts and a potential prison sentence of up to 1,200 years.

The case began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. That tip pointed to the use of Synchronoss, a Verizon-based data storage service, to view and transmit illicit files.

While the investigation initially involved the Sanford and Orlando police departments, investigators eventually traced the IP address to Wahlgren’s residence in St. Cloud.

When St. Cloud Police executed a search warrant at the home, they uncovered a massive stockpile of digital evidence. Officers seized a tablet, two laptops, a desktop, nine USB drives, two external drives, two SD cards, and 28 hard drives.

Preliminary forensic work on those devices revealed images and videos of a graphic nature, including files showing children who were physically bound. On a single device, investigators discovered more than 100,000 files.

As the probe intensified, Wahlgren fled Florida, but investigators eventually located him in Arkansas. He was taken into custody by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office on May 1, 2026.

“This predator thought that he could escape the consequences of his depraved behavior by running to another state. He was wrong,” Attorney General Uthmeier said in a statement. “In Florida, we will find you and bring you back to face our prosecutors in court.”

Wahlgren is currently awaiting extradition back to Florida. Once returned, he will be prosecuted by Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Lauryn Day in the Ninth Judicial Circuit.

Authorities noted that the investigation remains active and additional charges could be filed as forensic teams continue to work through the seized electronics.
