In Florida, Republicans didn’t simply deliver a red wave, they obliterated Democrats up and down the ballot, putting to rest any notion that Florida is a purple state.
It wasn’t a surprise that Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis dispatched Democrat Charlie Crist and by a 19-point spread.
“And so today, after four years, the people have delivered their verdict: Freedom is here to stay,” DeSantis said to a roar of cheers after he handily won re-election.
On Monday, DeSantis announced that Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, will also return for the second term as Florida’s top medical chief.
Florida Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladapo said in a video released Monday, “Florida is the land of the free and I wish there was more, and I hope more states take the same path, but we are to stay free in Florida.”
“Dr. Ladapo has done a great job as Florida Surgeon General. His evidence-based principles serve as a counterweight to the increasingly political positions of the entrenched medical establishment, especially on schools, masks, and mRNA shots.,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
On Monday, DeSantis said, “Happy to announce he’ll return for our 2nd term!”
