A 22-year-old gym teacher from Central Point Christian Academy is facing felony charges after investigators say she sent explicit material to a middle schooler.
Yezmar Angeanis Ramos-Figueroa, of Kissimmee, was arrested Wednesday, November 26, by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. She stands charged with distributing obscene material to a minor and transmitting harmful material to a minor.
The investigation kicked off in mid-October when the 13-year-old victim’s mother flagged suspicious communication and contacted law enforcement. According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives interviewed the child and were able to recover both text messages and photographs sent to the student’s phone.

When brought in for questioning last Wednesday morning, Ramos-Figueroa reportedly admitted to the allegations, confirming she sent the messages and a photograph to the child. She was subsequently booked into the Osceola County Jail.
Investigators are concerned there could be more victims. The Sheriff’s Office is urging parents who believe their child may have had inappropriate contact with Ramos-Figueroa to reach out immediately at 407-348-2222.
