Florida Highway Patrol: 61-Year-Old Plant City Man Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver

A 61-year-old Plant City man is dead after being struck by a vehicle Saturday around 7:20 pm.

PLANT CITY, Fla. – A 61-year-old Plant City man is dead after being struck by a vehicle Saturday around 7:20 pm.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling westbound on US-92, west of Pasadena Drive, when the right side of the vehicle struck the man who was walking along the highway shoulder.

The impact resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian at the scene of the crash.

Following the collision, the vehicle fled the scene westbound on US-92.

Troopers say the vehicle is believed to be a small van or pickup truck with damage to the right headlamp and side mirror.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call *FHP or **TIPS.
