Florida Lottery Announces $13,000,000 In Winning From 5 Scratch-Off Players This Week

The Florida Lottery announced a whopping $13,000,000 in scratch-off winnings this week, from only five players.

On Monday the Florida Lottery announced that Jerrold Ott, 65, of North Fort Myers, claimed a $1 million prize from the new 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Ott purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 1735 Northeast Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The new $50 game, 500X THE CASH, features a top prize of $25 million – the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game – and the best odds to become an instant millionaire! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.

On Tuesday, two scratch-off winners were announced. Marty Moon, 63, of Lakeland, claimed a $5 million top prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,960,000.00.

Moon purchased his winning ticket from Nick’s Food Mart, located at 1219 Lakeland Hills Boulevard in Lakeland. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The Florida Lottery also announced that John Young, 61, of Boca Raton, claimed a $5 million top prize from the $5,000,000 CASHWORD Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,915,000.00.

Young purchased his winning ticket from Kwik Stop, located at 1300 Northwest 7th Avenue in Boca Raton. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Wednesday, Camilo Pulley, 25, of Miami Shores, claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Miami District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00.

Pulley purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 9050 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Shores. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $20 Scratch-Off game, GOLD RUSH LIMITED, launched in September 2021 and features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million! Additionally, this ticket is filled with over 33,000 prizes of $1,000 to $100,000! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.65.

Then on Thursday, the Lottery announced that Maria Perez, 35, of Port St. Lucie, claimed a $1 million prize from the new 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Perez purchased her winning ticket from Third Base Discount Beverage, located at 2828 Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard in Port St. Lucie. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1.3 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2020-21.
