The Florida Lottery has announced a flurry of major prize claims in recent weeks, with winners from Haines City, Port St. Lucie, Valrico, Tallahassee, and Fort Walton Beach collectively claiming millions of dollars. The big winners cashed in on both Scratch-Off games in June and the multi-state POWERBALL drawing.
In the state of Florida, the names of lottery winners and their city of residence are public record and may be released by the Florida Lottery after 90 days.
