St Felix and his co-conspirators carried out violent home invasions across Florida, Texas, and North Carolina, during which victims were held at gunpoint, assaulted, and forced to hand over access to their cryptocurrency accounts. The criminals used encrypted messaging apps to plan their attacks and laundered stolen cryptocurrency through anonymous exchanges.
St Felix, convicted in June by a federal jury in North Carolina, was the leader of the home invasion crew. He was arrested in July 2023 in New York, where he was found in possession of firearms and tools used in the robberies. In addition to his prison sentence, St Felix was ordered to pay over $524,000 in restitution.

Several co-conspirators were also sentenced, including Jarod Gabriel Seemungal, 23, who received a 20-year sentence for his role in the cryptocurrency theft and home invasions. The group’s activities extended from Florida to Texas, where they targeted wealthy individuals, violently restraining and torturing victims to gain access to their cryptocurrency.
This case was investigated by the FBI and local law enforcement agencies, with support from the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team.
