MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Amos Lee Hendricks, a 36-year-old from Marathon, Florida, seems to have a unique interpretation of patient care. On Saturday, he allegedly decided that a nurse trying to change his soiled sheets was an act of aggression worthy of a full-on counterattack.
The unsuspecting nurse at Fishermen’s Hospital emergency room was met with a surprise punch, followed by a neck grab and an attempted knee strike, all because Hendricks apparently wasn’t a fan of fresh bedding. One can only imagine the nurse’s confusion.

Not content with his hospital hijinks, Hendricks then decided to play a game of ‘resist the arrest’ with Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies, adding another charge to his growing list.
Hendricks was booked into the Monroe County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
