Florida Man Arrested After Demanding Drugs At Gunpoint In Bar Bathroom, Deputies Say

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach man was arrested Friday night after allegedly pointing a handgun at a man inside an Islamorada bar bathroom while demanding illegal drugs, according to authorities.

Ryan Glenn McDonough faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the July 31 incident.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the bar at approximately 11:11 p.m. The adult male victim told deputies he was inside the bathroom when McDonough confronted him and repeatedly asked for a “baggie,” which the victim understood to mean illegal drugs.

When the victim stated multiple times that he did not have or use drugs, McDonough pulled a black pistol from his waistband and pointed it directly at the victim’s face, according to the sheriff’s office.
