A 26-year-old Inglis man was taken into custody late Friday night after deputies say he pulled a gun on another man during an argument about a ride home from a bar.
Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to Conch Key around 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 28, 2026, following reports of a verbal altercation.
When law enforcement arrived, they found both the suspect, identified as Braedon Crea Jeansonne, and the adult male victim still at the scene.
According to the victim, the dispute began when he told Jeansonne that he could not give him a ride home from a local bar. As the argument escalated, Jeansonne reportedly pulled a handgun from his waistband, shouted profanities, and walked toward the victim in a threatening manner.
Deputies recovered a 9mm handgun from Jeansonne’s possession at the scene.
No life-threatening injuries were reported during the incident.
Jeansonne was arrested, transported to the local jail, and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
