A 29-year-old Florida man was arrested on Sunday, June 22, after allegedly engaging in a dangerous driving spree on I-75, reportedly reaching speeds of 115 miles per hour while a 10-month-old baby was in the backseat. Authorities also claim he was using Snapchat and tailgating other drivers during the incident.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers observed the man weaving in and out of traffic and tailgating on the freeway.

Police stated that Wheeler was actively using Snapchat while driving, with his girlfriend’s baby in the vehicle. He reportedly even narrowly avoided a crash after swerving to miss a mattress in the road.

Wheeler was booked into Charlotte County Jail on charges of reckless driving and child neglect. His bond was set at $3,500 ($1,000 for reckless driving and $2,500 for child neglect), and he was released the following day.

Troopers say that a Snapchat video was discovered on Wheeler’s phone after his arrest, captioned “Good Vibes Only” and featuring a speedometer filter reading 110 MPH.

Deputies also alleged that Wheeler played vulgar music from his phone after being taken into custody.
