Florida Man Arrested And Charged With Four Bank Robberies

TAMPA, FL. – A Florida man has been arrested after a bank robbery spree that ended on Thursday in Hillsborough County.

On Wednesday, at approximately 9:20 am officers responded to Regions Bank in Tampa for reports of a robbery. The suspect, James Williams, 43, went into the bank and demanded cash, but fled before the teller could fill the bag.

According to police, less than an hour later, Williams robbed another bank, located in Hillsborough County.

On Thursday after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant and arrested Williams.

Tampa Police then charged him with three felony counts of Robbery for the Regions Bank Robbery the day before and two robberies on March 8, 2022, and February 18, 2022, at the 5/3 Bank.

The investigation into the robberies is ongoing, and additional charges could come at a later time.
