A 26-year-old Marion County man already in custody on separate charges is now facing multiple felony counts after detectives discovered evidence of online child exploitation on his cellular phone.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office announced that Major Crimes Detective Melvin Coates charged Logan Litton with three counts of using a computer to solicit a child, six counts of directing a sexual performance by a child, and one count of utilizing a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
The investigation began on July 12, 2026, when an individual reported finding possible child sexual abuse material on Litton’s phone. According to authorities, Litton had been arrested on July 10, 2026, for domestic battery and had given the phone to the individual, granting permission to access it to retrieve banking information.
While searching for the financial data, the individual discovered sexually explicit messages between Litton and a teenage boy. Investigators stated that Litton used the persona of a 17- to 18-year-old girl named “Cassandra” in the communications.
Detective Coates interviewed Litton at the Marion County Jail on July 15, 2026. During the interview, Litton reportedly admitted to creating profiles on several websites to pose as a teenage girl. He told investigators he typically communicated with boys aged 16 to 18, but sometimes as young as 14. Litton stated he had chatted with approximately five underage boys and that most of them had sent explicit material to his phone.
A subsequent forensic extraction and review of the phone by Detective Coates revealed additional explicit conversations involving three boys between the ages of 12 and 14. Investigators found that Litton, acting as “Cassandra,” had instructed the minors to perform sexual acts, film the behavior, and transmit the video files to him.
Litton remains held without bond at the Marion County Jail, where he was already being detained on the domestic battery charge.
