A Florida man who was found hiding in a stagnant body of water was arrested after sexually battering a woman the day after he was released from jail.
Shortly before 8:00 PM, On Wednesday, deputies with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report from a female who stated she had just been sexually battered by Braylan Hill.
Deputies say Hill was just released from prison the day before.
Investigators and the Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program responded, and interviewed the victim. Investigators say an FDLE SAE was conducted by nurses on the victim.

Meanwhile, a regional “Be On The Lookout” (BOLO) was disseminated to law enforcement authorities.
A deputy encountered Braylan Hill on Ashley Shiver Road.
When Hill spotted the deputy, he immediately fled on foot into a wooded area.
K9 tracking teams from Calhoun and Liberty Correctional Institutions were called to the scene, where Hill was subsequently taken into custody after being located trying to hide in a body of stagnant water.
Physical evidence that corroborated the victim’s story was located and collected by CCSO Investigators. Hill is facing charges of Sexual Battery and False Imprisonment.
