A Florida man was arrested after a grand scheme to kidnap a woman and message her ex-husband on Facebook for the ransom.
According to police, 52-year-old Lamar Dion Jones used Facebook messenger to call the victim’s ex-husband, demanding the ransom cash from him.
The arrest affidavit states that Jones was going to “trick out”, aka prostitute out, the female victim until he was paid the ransom. But police and the ex-husband “tricked to” Jones.
A law enforcement officer was on location for the call and recorded by the police officer.
Jones was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a $150,000 bond for a kidnapping charge. No word yet if he has been tricked out in jail.
