A 59-year-old Florida man has been arrested on multiple counts of child sexual abuse that spanned over multiple years, according to police.
On March 8, Ocala Police Detective Drake arrested Stevie Irizarry, 59, for one count of sexual battery on a child under 12, and six counts of lewd or lascivious molestation on a child less than 12.
The alleged crimes were committed over multiple years, starting when the victim was approximately 6. The victim is now an adult, according to police.

“In cases like this where an individual is arrested for multiple felony charges of sexual-related crimes on a child, it is commendable that law enforcement officers and detectives work tirelessly to ensure that justice is served. These cases are often very complex, and it takes a great deal of skill and dedication to gather evidence and build a strong case against the accused,” said Ocala Police Department.,
“It is also incredibly brave for the victim to come forward and report the abuse to law enforcement, as doing so can be extremely difficult and traumatic. By speaking up, the victim is not only seeking justice for themselves but also potentially protecting other children from being victimized by the accused.”
“We take crimes like this very seriously. If you or someone you know may be a victim of a sexual-related crime, please call law enforcement,” said OPD.
