PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Robbery & Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal incident that occurred Monday afternoon in Seminole.
Deputies responded to multiple 911 calls at approximately 4:04 p.m. on August 10, 2026, reporting an injured man covered in blood on the north side of 86th Avenue North. Upon arrival, emergency personnel located 52-year-old Jason Suhadolnik receiving medical treatment from paramedics.
Deputies then entered a nearby home at 9549 86th Avenue North, where they found Suhadolnik’s mother, 82-year-old Patty Suhadolnik, on the kitchen floor with severe injuries.
Both individuals were transported to a local hospital, where Patty Suhadolnik was pronounced dead.
According to investigators, a violent altercation involving a knife took place inside the residence, resulting in the fatal injuries to Patty Suhadolnik and injuries to Jason Suhadolnik’s hands.
Detectives charged Jason Suhadolnik with First Degree Murder and Violation of Probation. He was placed into custody and will be booked into the Pinellas County Jail following his release from the medical facility.
Authorities confirmed that next of kin has been notified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
