A Florida man is facing a felony charge of digital voyeurism on a victim younger than 16 after an investigation found he secretly recorded a child in the shower. Jeffrey Odone, 34, was arrested Thursday by Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) detectives, working in partnership with the Southwest Florida INTERCEPT Task Force and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The investigation began when a woman discovered an inappropriate video file on Odone’s iPhone and reported it to authorities.

The file, which was located in a hidden folder but later confirmed in Odone’s iCloud account, showed the child exiting the shower and getting dressed. Detectives identified a GoPro camera hidden in the bathroom as the device used to record.

Following the discovery, detectives executed a search warrant at Odone’s residence on Thursday, recovering the GoPro and other electronic devices for forensic examination. The GoPro was found to have been connected to Odone’s iPhone via Bluetooth.

Odone was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of digital voyeurism on a victim younger than 16.

“This arrest demonstrates our unwavering commitment to protecting children and holding predators accountable,” said Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “We will continue to work closely with our partners to pursue those who exploit vulnerable victims in our community.”

The sheriff’s office highlighted the collaboration with INTERCEPT (Inter-agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking), a public-private partnership dedicated to combating human trafficking and exploitation across Southwest Florida.
