A quick trip to the supermarket paid off in a life-changing way for one Miami resident. Alejandro Morales visited the Florida Lottery’s Miami District Office on January 20 to claim a $2 million top prize from the MONOPOLY™ SECRET VAULT scratch-off game.
On Wednesday, the Florida lottery said that Morales purchased the lucky $10 ticket at the Winn-Dixie located at 11241 S.W. 40th Street in Miami. Rather than opting for an annuity, he decided to take his winnings as a single, lump-sum payment.
After taxes and withholdings, his take-home amount totaled $1,153,865.00.

The MONOPOLY™ SECRET VAULT game originally hit stores in July 2024. According to lottery officials, the game launched with four $2 million top prizes and more than $176 million in total cash prizes across 6.8 million winning tickets. The Florida Lottery lists the overall odds of winning any prize in the game at 1-in-3.41.
While Morales has secured one of the top payouts, the game remains active in retailers across the state. The Monopoly branding, including the iconic character and game board elements, is used under license from Hasbro.
