Matthew Leatham, 24, was arrested twice last year. Once for calling 911 a couple of times because he needed a ride home, the second time, for strangling his mom after she woke him up.
In September, Leatham was picked up again, this time for slicing a friend. (That rhymed)
According to deputies, Leatham and a friend, “engaged in a physical altercation after a verbal dispute over a cell phone” around 4:30 am at a gas station in September.
A surveillance camera recorded Leatham chasing the victim, who is seen “holding a shirt to his neck to stop the bleeding from a slice wound.”

Leatham admitted to the slicing but said it was in self-defense, but police said that Leatham sustained no visible injuries n the altercation.
According to deputies, the victim sustained “several lacerations to his person,” and stated that the man was transported to a hospital where the “injury to his neck required staples.”
Leatham was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and transported to the Land O’ Lakes Jail.
