In the first case, deputies responded to a home on SE 122nd Lane Road in Marion County in reference to a utility theft call.

According to deputies, the investigation revealed that Paul Mathis was stealing electricity from the victim to power his RV.

It was also discovered that Mathis had an active warrant. He was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail.

In the second case, Deputy Jones and Trainee Welfenberg with Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on SE 159th Court in reference to another utility theft.

Their investigation revealed that Eric Lee used an extension cord to steal electricity from a neighboring residence.

Lee was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail.
