Florida Missing Child Alert Ends In Tragedy; Missing 13-Year-Old Na’Sean Kirkland Found Deceased

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has officially canceled the Missing Child Alert for 13-year-old Na’Sean Kirkland following a tragic update from investigators. Authorities confirmed on Monday that the teenager had been found deceased.

Na’Sean was first reported missing from the 100 block of Windglow Trail in Maitland. The search sparked immediate concern throughout the community, as police noted the boy was non-verbal and had a known attraction to water. He had last been seen barefoot, wearing a black shirt with green lettering and gray shorts.

The circumstances surrounding his death have not been released at this time. In a statement confirming the end of the search, officials expressed the gravity of the loss, stating, “It is with sadness that we report the child is deceased. Our prayers go out to Na’Sean’s family, loved ones and community.”

Authorities report that Kirkland was last spotted in the 100 block of Windglow Trail. He is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 95 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a dark black shirt with green writing and gray shorts. Police noted that the boy was not wearing shoes when he was last seen.

Investigators highlighted two critical factors in the search: Na’Sean is non-verbal and has a known attraction to water. Local residents are encouraged to check nearby pools, ponds, or lakes on their property.
