Kymani Williams has been located and is safe, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
ORIGINAL REPORT: Authorities in South Florida have launched an active search for a teenager missing since earlier today, prompting the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to issue a formal Missing Child Alert. Kymani Williams, 17, was last spotted in Homestead, in the 1200 block of Southeast 31st Court.
Investigators say Williams is a black male standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gold-colored pullover sweater and black sweatpants. He was also wearing cream-colored Nike sneakers.

The Homestead Police Department is leading the investigation. Anyone who recognizes Williams or has information regarding his current location is asked to call the department immediately at 305-247-1535. Alternatively, anyone with a sighting should call 911 to report the tip to emergency dispatchers.
