The Florida Missing Child Alert issued for Jade Toth has been canceled, and the child was located safe, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
ORIGINAL REPORT: Authorities in Central Florida have escalated their search efforts for a teenager last seen in a residential neighborhood earlier this week. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement officially issued a Missing Child Alert for 15-year-old Jade Toth on Thursday, following new developments in an ongoing investigation by local police.
Toth was last spotted in the 2800 block of Spring Heather Place, within the city of Oviedo. While the specific circumstances leading up to her disappearance have not been fully disclosed, officials noted that the case was upgraded to an alert status as a direct result of information gathered during the initial missing person probe.

Police describe Toth as a white female, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, she was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and grey sweatpants. Investigators noted she was also carrying a dark-colored backpack at the time.
The Oviedo Police Department is leading the search and has asked community members to keep an eye out for the missing teen.
