Florida Missing Child Alert: Search Underway For Hamilton County Teen

A state missing child alert has been triggered across Florida as authorities search for a 16-year-old girl who vanished from her neighborhood.

Elissa McCarthy was last seen in Jasper, Florida, near the 2600th block of Northwest 44th Street. Detectives believe she might be heading toward neighboring Madison County.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office provided the following physical description to help the public identify her: Elissa is a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighs around 140 pounds. She has distinct red hair and blue eyes.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a grey and navy T-shirt, pink shorts, and blue Crocs.

Local law enforcement officials are asking anyone living or driving in the Hamilton and Madison County areas to keep an eye out. The official agency release states: “If you have any information on the whereabouts of this child, please contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at 386-792-1001 or 911.”
