Marin Samuy has been located and is safe, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

ORIGINAL REPORT: Police in the Florida Panhandle are asking for the public’s help to find a missing 17-year-old girl last seen in Jackson County. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Missing Child Alert on Wednesday for Marin Samuy, who disappeared from the 2000 block of Stone Lane in Sneads.

Investigators believe Samuy is not alone. She is thought to be in the company of Mason Highers, a 18-year-old white male. Authorities indicated the pair may be traveling toward the Destin area, though their specific mode of transportation has not been confirmed.

Samuy is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 99 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair, which may currently feature blonde highlights. When she was last seen, she was wearing a white tank top, black jean shorts, and white Crocs.

Highers is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone who sees the pair or has information regarding their location to act immediately. Information can be reported to the Sneads Police Department at 850-482-9648 or by calling 911.
