Florida Sen. Rick Scott Demands ‘Final Blow’ To Crush Iranian Nuclear Threat

U.S. Senator Rick Scott issued an ultimatum regarding American military operations overseas, declaring that Washington must settle for “nothing less than victory” to prevent a catastrophic nuclear strike on American soil.

In a newly published op-ed for the Daily Wire, the Florida Republican threw his full support behind the ongoing military campaign, dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” which he claims has already left the Iranian economy in a free fall and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) “on the ropes.”

Scott framed the current conflict not as a matter of political debate or economic strategy, but as a direct, existential fight for American survival. He warned that Tehran’s leadership is actively pursuing weapons of mass destruction with the explicit intent to use them against US citizens.

“The regime actively wants to detonate a nuclear weapon in our homeland and kill millions of Americans,” Scott wrote. “Our nation has never experienced such a violent tragedy, and we cannot passively watch Iran achieve that ambition.”

The senator dismissed critics focusing on the economic fallout of the conflict, acknowledging that while spiking gas and fertilizer prices heavily squeeze family budgets, the primary objective must remain absolute. He used a stark analogy to illustrate the urgency of the situation.

“If your neighbor spent the last decade saying he wants to burn your house down, you might dismiss him as crazy,” Scott stated. “But if he starts making Molotov cocktails in his garage, you’d worry he wants to use them. It doesn’t take more than common sense to predict his target.”

The op-ed strongly backed President Donald Trump’s handling of the crisis, drawing a sharp line against the “beltway class” and cable news pundits who are openly speculating about exit strategies, global trade, and the potential closure of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Instead, Scott urged the nation to adopt an “Apollo 13 mindset” where failure is not an option, invoking a famous Ernest Hemingway quote to argue that defeat in war ultimately brings consequences far worse than the conflict itself. He pointed to a decades-long history of Iranian hostility, including the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing that killed 241 US servicemen, the October 7 attacks in Israel, and the domestic execution of 30,000 Iranian protesters.

While acknowledging that talks regarding how the conflict will eventually end are ongoing, Scott insisted that true peace can only be secured through a completely denuclearized Iran and the removal of its current leadership.

“We have a once-in-a-generation chance to finally neutralize the nuclear threat Iran poses to every American,” Scott wrote, calling for an end to political bickering in Washington. “The radical Islamist regime is hearing its death knell. It’s time to deliver the final blow.”
