With few questions and no debate, the Senate on Monday unanimously approved a proposed $113.7 billion budget for next fiscal year.

The House is expected early this week to approve its $113 billion budget proposal, setting the stage for the two chambers to begin hammering out their differences after a break for the Easter holiday.

Senate Appropriations Chairman Sen. Doug Broxson, R-Gulf Breeze, promised the final budget agreement will include “the single largest tax-relief package in Florida history.”
