POLK COUNTY, FL. – One Florida Sheriff is mad as hell and wants justice for a family this Christmas after a man broke into their home and stole presents from under the tree.
“I want him to wake up in the county jail on Christmas. Give me that for my Christmas present, please,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
Judd said the break-in and burglary happened on Monday morning to have breakfast with family members. When she returned home around 11:30 a.m., she found her front door forced open and her home ransacked. She also discovered all the wrapped Christmas presents were missing, as well as a company laptop and a flat-screen television.
A single mother had left her home just moments before ‘the grinch’ arrived, according to Judd.
“This is called, the Grinch from Christmas 2021 with eggnog brain, and we want him in jail,” Judd said.
Judd said, “I must tell you the truth, that when you look at this guy, as he sneaking through a stranger’s house stealing their stuff, it makes me so angry. I could eat the pine needles off of the Christmas tree. I cannot stand it.”
According to Judd, the man stole around $1,600 worth of presents from the home, and Heartland Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for this grinch.
