HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – Kathryn Kocab has been located and is safe, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. The Dade City Police Department located her.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert and is seeking the public’s immediate assistance in locating Kathryn Kocab, a missing and endangered adult. Kocab, 69, was last seen this morning when she left her Spring Hill home for a doctor’s appointment she never reached.
Kocab was last seen by a family member at approximately 11:00 AM today, June 20, 2025, when she departed from her residence on Abbeville Street. Concern grew when she did not return home as expected, and it was subsequently confirmed that she missed her scheduled appointment.

Authorities believe Ms. Kocab may be suffering from the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, which increases the urgency of locating her safely.
She is driving a gray 2006 Honda Civic with Florida license plate II27NN. Her vehicle was last spotted earlier this afternoon traveling on State Road 52 in Pasco County.
Kathryn Kocab is described as a white female, born on July 8, 1955. She is 5′ 6″ tall, weighs approximately 117 pounds, and has brown eyes and gray hair.
