A 31-year-old man from Bell, Florida, is behind bars this week after a digital paper trail linked him to the possession and sharing of child sexual abuse material.
Attorney General James Uthmeier confirmed the arrest of Coty Streit on Thursday, following an investigation that spanned several weeks and involved multiple law enforcement agencies.
The case against Streit began to take shape in March 2026. Investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) were alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding suspicious financial activity.
According to officials, a cyber tip suggested Streit was trying to send payments via Cash App to a Bitcoin wallet known to be associated with the trafficking of illegal materials.
As FDLE agents dug deeper, they obtained subpoenas for Streit’s phone records. This led them to two more NCMEC tips that pointed toward his Instagram account. Authorities allege Streit wasn’t just viewing the material, but was actively uploading and sharing it through the social media platform.

Streit now faces a heavy list of charges, including 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials, one count of transmitting the material via an electronic device, and one count of the unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
“It should be clear by now that no one will get away with preying on children in Florida, in-person or online,” Attorney General Uthmeier said in a statement. He expressed gratitude for the FDLE and other partners who “got this predator out of the community before he was able to be near kids again.”
The Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) assisted in taking Streit into custody. He is currently being held at the Gilchrist County Jail, where his bond has been set at $1.7 million.
The legal stakes for the 31-year-old are high. If he is found guilty on all counts, Streit could be sentenced to up to 85 years in state prison. The case is set to be handled by Chief Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Kelsey Bledsoe in Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit.
