A 15-year-old Florida boy has been arrested after making online threats to become the next mass shooter.
Investigators say the teen stated, “One day my name and face will be all over the news and everyone will wish they took me seriously.”
Well, the good news is, they took you serious.
The Sheriff’s Office was notified of the threats on Tuesday and responded along with the Port Orange Police Department to 15-year-old Jacob Long’s home, where he was taken into custody.
Some of his messages posted in Discord included:
“I am the next greenwood mall shooter”
“I will kill (epithet for Hispanic people)”
“I am 100% Serouse (sic) everything I have said is 100% real and I am not or never have been joking”
“I must become Patrick crusis 22 bozos”
“im going to put these to good use (smiley Emoji)” – along with a photo of rifles and a shotgun
According to officials, in an interview with detectives, Jacob advised he was joking in all of the posts, including the one saying he is not and never has been joking.
