A 15-year-old in Florida is facing a felony charge after leading Collier County Sheriff’s deputies on a dangerous high-speed pursuit through heavy rush-hour traffic on Tuesday evening.

Kyle Vincent Siemon of Naples was arrested and charged with felony fleeing and eluding law enforcement following the incident, which Sheriff Kevin Rambosk described as putting “countless pedestrians and motorists at risk.”

The incident began shortly before 6 p.m. near the intersection of Golden Gate Parkway and 66th Street Southwest. Deputies on patrol observed Siemon speeding and performing stunts on a sidewalk.

When deputies attempted a traffic stop, Siemon allegedly fled, reportedly reaching speeds close to 70 mph while weaving through heavy traffic on his electric dirt bike. Deputies activated lights and sirens, but Siemon continued to flee, repeatedly looking back at the pursuing vehicles, jumping sidewalks, and dangerously weaving in and out of traffic along Golden Gate Parkway.

The pursuit ended moments later when Siemon rode down a hill and his bike became stuck in a ditch near Santa Barbara Boulevard and Recreation Lane. Deputies then safely took him into custody without further incident.

“This young man’s reckless riding put countless pedestrians and motorists at risk,” Sheriff Rambosk stated. “I am grateful for the professional response of our deputies in bringing this incident to a safe resolution. Keeping our roads and sidewalks safe for everyone who lives, works and travels in Collier County is a top priority.”
