While the massive Powerball jackpot remains unclaimed, Saturday night’s drawing was still a life-changing event for a handful of lucky players, including one in Florida.

A ticket sold in the Sunshine State was one of five across the country to match all five white balls, securing a $1 million prize. The Florida winner was joined by new millionaires in California, Michigan, New Jersey, and Virginia, all of whom missed the grand prize by just the red Powerball number.

Two other players had an even better night. Ticket holders in North Carolina and Pennsylvania not only matched the five white numbers but also included the Power Play option, doubling their winnings to $2 million each.

Despite these big wins, no single ticket matched the full combination of 1, 28, 31, 57, and 58, with the red Powerball 16.

Because the main prize went unclaimed, the jackpot has surged once again.

The pot now sits at an estimated $1.1 billion for the next drawing. This latest rollover pushes the prize past the $1.08 billion jackpot won in Los Angeles back in July 2023, making it the seventh-largest in the game’s history.

The top prize has been building steadily since September 6, when two winners in Missouri and Texas split a nearly $1.8 billion fortune.
