SARASOTA, Fla. – A fatal vehicle crash early Sunday morning has brought the Florida Highway Patrol and Sarasota County deputies out to Interstate 75.
The deadly collision happened just south of Exit 213 on the northbound side of the interstate. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the crash happened around 3:05 a.m.
Deputies are currently at the scene to assist the Florida Highway Patrol, which is serving as the primary agency investigating the wreck.
For now, all northbound lanes remain open to traffic. However, officials caution drivers that road closures are subject to change as the active investigation continues.
