A 33-year-old Florida woman is facing eight felony charges after state investigators alleged she sexually abused a child and distributed explicit material of the abuse to an inmate currently serving time in federal prison.
Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the charges against Taylor Michelle Dorsey of Ocoee on Thursday, following an investigation led by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Dorsey was taken into custody on Dec. 10 after agents executed a search warrant at her residence.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip regarding suspicious online activity.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, Yahoo reported that a user, later identified as Dorsey, had uploaded multiple files containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Investigators allege that Dorsey not only produced the pornographic material but was actively sharing it with a federal prisoner who is currently incarcerated for child sexual abuse and possession of child pornography. The specific relationship between Dorsey and the inmate was not immediately disclosed.
“The details in this case are gut-wrenching, and there is zero place for this kind of vile behavior in Florida,” Uthmeier said in a statement. “I am confident in our statewide prosecutors’ ability to fight for the maximum penalty that fits these heinous crimes against children.”
Dorsey is currently being held without bond at the Orange County Jail. She faces a litany of charges, including:
- Promote Sexual Performance of a Child
- Lewd and Lascivious Molestation
- Child Abuse
- Child Neglect
- Four counts of Possession of Child Pornography
The case will be prosecuted in the Ninth Judicial Circuit by Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Lauryn Day. Officials noted that the investigation remains active, and additional charges could be filed as the case progresses.
