Marion County School Board Woman Arrested

Florida Woman Arrested, Two Others Booted From School Board Meeting After Announcing Lawsuit To Stop Teaching Of CRT Policies

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and GOP members of the Legislature are moving fast to prevent teachers from discussing their sex lives with first-graders and promoting the anti-white academic creed known as Critical Race Theory.

But for some, it’s not fast enough.

The Ocala Star-Banner in Florida explains.

On Tuesday night, according to the paper, one person was arrested and two others were tossed from the Marion County School Board meeting after they raucously announced a lawsuit against educators over COVID-19 restrictions and instruction in LGBT and CRT propaganda.

“We live in America, people, and we are free to live our lives without restrictions, abuse, and unlawful mandates from elected government officials,” one of the protesters, Patricia Driscoll of Weirsdale said.

Driscoll and Judy Lavender of Lady Lake attended the meeting to announce the lawsuit.

The women demanded that the school district scrap all “transgender, LBGTQ+ materials from all school facilities, including charter schools, and the curriculum that promotes pedophilia, underage sex, and abortion.”

The paper indicated Driscoll attempted to get on the stage where the School Board was seated.

The women were escorted out of the chamber, and school officials said the police were called.

A short time later, Driscoll was arrested on suspicion of “disturbing the peace/interference with school administration functions,” a misdemeanor charge.

The paper suggested the women were part of a national movement to go after surety bond providers, who accept payments from local governments for a kind of insurance policy that officials will perform their duties as expected.

Driscoll claimed in an interview that the school district’s security chief tackled her and refused to let her leave as the police were arriving.

Interestingly, one board member accused another, who was not the subject of the women’s ire, of orchestrating the incident.

In their lawsuit, the women seek an order “that all schools, including charter schools, stop teaching children about critical race theory, the LGBTQ+ community, and some other issues.”

A school district spokesman told the StarBanner that the district does not teach any of those subjects.

  1. Get you kids out of public schools. They have become Brainwashing Facilities like in NK, Cuba, and China. Vote all Democrats out of office.
