POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 59-year-old woman was arrested in Polk County after deputies pulled her over for swerving and subsequently found a trafficking amount of methamphetamine inside her vehicle, according to Sheriff Grady Judd.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on Louise Fuell at approximately 10:00 p.m. along Masterpiece Road near Lake Wales after observing her vehicle weaving across the roadway.
When questioned about her driving, Fuell told deputies she was swerving because she was eating chicken wings while behind the wheel.
During the interaction, officers noted chicken wings on the center console and reported a distinct smell of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.
According to Sheriff Judd, when deputies told Fuell she was under arrest, she began crying and asked them to “Just let me go.” She then admitted to having narcotics in the vehicle, telling officers, “All right, it’s in the pink bag in the back seat.”
A search of the pink bag revealed cannabis and a trafficking quantity of methamphetamine. Fuell was taken into custody and booked into the Polk County Jail on drug trafficking and possession charges.
