The Florida Lottery announced today that Tricia Richardson Roberts, 46, of Lauderhill, has claimed a top prize from the $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game.

Richardson Roberts visited the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office on July 14 to collect her winnings. Although the top prize is structured as $1,000 a week for life, Richardson Roberts chose to receive her prize as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $779,200.00.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Publix supermarket, located at 550 N. Pine Island Road in Plantation.

The $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game offers players a chance to win over $30 million in cash prizes for just $2. The game features four top prizes of $1,000 a week for life. The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 4.19.

The Florida Lottery, which is responsible for contributing more than $49 billion to enhance education in the state, uses its revenue to support programs like the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, which has helped send over one million students to college.

The Lottery reinvests 99 percent of its revenue back into Florida’s economy through prize payouts, commissions to over 13,550 retailers, and transfers to education.
