The Florida Lottery announced that Barbara Putnam of Fort Walton Beach has claimed a top prize of $2 million from the popular $2,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game. Putnam, who purchased her winning ticket at a Winn-Dixie store, collected her massive winnings on June 23 at the Lottery’s district office in Pensacola.

Putnam elected to receive her prize as a one-time, lump-sum payment, which netted her a staggering $1,276,000.00 before withholdings. The winning ticket was purchased at the Winn-Dixie located at 99 Eglin Parkway N.W. in Fort Walton Beach.

The $10 $2,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER game, which launched in January, offers five top prizes of $2 million. The game has proven to be a lucrative option for players, offering over $220 million in total cash prizes across its 8.6 million winning tickets. The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 3.41.

Scratch-off games remain a critical component of the Florida Lottery‘s success, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Since their inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded over $66.9 billion in prizes, created 2,350 millionaires, and contributed more than $20.09 billion to the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
