One Florida woman has proved, over 11,000 times, that she doesn’t like law enforcement and relentlessly calls the police to belittle them.
Carla Jefferson, 50, dials the non-emergency lines of the St. Petersburg Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and then “harasses, belittles, swears at, argues with” whoever answers to greet the woman, according to a criminal complaint from Pinellas County Court.
According to the arrest affidavit, Jefferson St. Petersburg Police Department 512 times in a 24-hour period in July.
Police say that Jefferson, “Harasses, Belittles, Swears at, Argues with, and demands officers come and arrest her.” But when officers arrive, Jefferson retreats into the house, screams through the window, and flips the bird to responding officers.
Jefferson reportedly tells law enforcement personnel that she’ll “call back” if they hang up, which she does, according to police.

St. Petersburg Police sent Jefferson a warning letter in June that her actions could lead to an arrest. However, she ignored the letter and was arrested on a misdemeanor charge, posted $400 bail, and continued calling.
Jefferson was arrested this week after continuing her spree and was released on her own recognizance.
