ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Rays are officially leaning into the luxury side of baseball. On Friday, the organization announced a massive, privately funded overhaul of its premium spaces at Tropicana Field, aiming to sharpen the fan experience just in time for the 2026 season.
Under fresh ownership and a new partnership with Orlando Health, the team is ditching the old-school stadium feel for high-end lounges, speakeasies, and even a specialty candy room.
Much of the work centers on the fourth floor, where The Baldwin Group Club has been stripped down and rebuilt. The space now features new flooring, a massive media wall, and lounge furniture designed for a more relaxed vibe.
Food is also getting a serious promotion; the club now boasts “action stations” where chefs prepare meals right in front of guests. Tucked inside is the reimagined Tropicana Room, which will act as a private dining hub for members of the DEX Imaging Home Plate Club.
The DEX Imaging Home Plate Club itself looks nothing like it used to. The Rays took underutilized storage and service rooms behind the home plate seating and converted them into a series of upscale hangouts. This includes a new speakeasy focused on craft cocktails and a dedicated candy room stocked with nostalgic treats.
These areas are designed to keep fans connected to the game via new video tech while offering a break from the standard bleacher experience.
“Simply put, our fans deserve the best, and we are committed to setting a new standard for premium experience in all of these new neighborhoods at Tropicana Field,” said Rays CEO Ken Babby. “The upgrades reflect our ownership group’s new vision for creating elevated, memorable spaces that offer the best in hospitality while also staying connected to the energy and excitement that makes Rays baseball special.”

The renovations extend to the stadium’s “neighborhoods” for corporate hosting and private parties. On the main concourse, the Executive Suites now feature induction food service systems, private restrooms, and quartz countertops.
Meanwhile, the Webull Suite Level has been modernized with padded seating and upgraded tech to better handle client hosting.
Fans will get their first look at the new-look “Trop” on April 6, when the Rays host the Chicago Cubs for their home opener. While the team noted that these spaces are available for private event rentals on non-game days, season memberships for the new clubs are already on sale with limited availability remaining.
