Former Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly questioned President Trump’s mental fitness on Monday, suggesting that invoking the 25th Amendment may be necessary following a series of escalations on social media.
During an appearance on CNN, the former congresswoman addressed her recent online activity where she responded to a presidential post with the words “25th AMENDMENT!!!” in all caps.
The tension stems from a social media post made by the President last week, in which he stated that “a whole civilization will die tonight.”
The remark, which appeared to target Iran, followed a pattern of public outbursts against former allies, including media figures Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, as well as Greene herself. RELATED: Trump Eviscerates Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Alex Jones And Candace Owens In Explosive Attack
When asked directly by CNN’s Caitlyn Collins if she truly believes the President should be removed from office, Greene did not back down. “I think we have to truly question the mental stability of any president that threatens to wipe out an entire civilization of people,” Greene said. She noted that such a threat would inherently include innocent civilians who have no involvement in the ongoing conflict.
Greene pointed out a perceived contradiction in the administration’s rhetoric, noting that the President had previously framed his stance as one of “freeing the Iranian people from the Iranian regime.” She argued that calling for the destruction of that same civilization is “absolutely wrong.”
The former congresswoman used the interview to highlight a burgeoning and unlikely alliance with progressive Representative Ro Khanna.
Despite their vast ideological differences on issues like abortion, border security, and the economy, Greene stated that both find common ground in their opposition to “foreign war after foreign war.”

Greene criticized the long-standing “center of right and left” coalition in Washington, blaming it for $40 trillion in national debt and failed foreign policies.
She cited her previous work with Khanna on the release of the Epstein files as a template for how the two ends of the political spectrum might cooperate to challenge the establishment, even as she continues to lead the charge against the sitting President’s temperament.
