A federal judge sentenced Italo Rafael Brett Bonini, 26, of Orlando, Florida, to life in federal prison on Wednesday for the enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity and 30 years’ imprisonment for the production of child sexual abuse material. The sentences will run concurrently.

Bonini, a former middle school music teacher in Orange County, Florida, who also gave private music lessons, pleaded guilty on May 1, 2025. The court also ordered the forfeiture of a desktop computer used by Bonini to commit the offenses.

According to court documents, the investigation uncovered a pattern of disturbing criminal activity. On January 12, 2025, Bonini video chatted from his Orlando residence with two child victims in Maryland via an online communication platform.

During this interaction, Bonini offered in-game currency for the victims to display their genitals on camera. Both children complied with his request to pull down their pants, and one displayed his genitals.

Further investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and the Maryland State Police revealed the extensive global scope of Bonini’s crimes.

The FBI found evidence of chats between Bonini and approximately 30 minor victims, many of whom have since been identified. The chats documented Bonini engaging in sexual activity with young children online, including:

  • Exposing himself on camera.
  • Requesting and receiving sexually explicit photos.
  • Urinating and defecating on camera.

Additionally, Bonini attempted to entice minor victims to perform sexual acts with their minor siblings and to engage in bestiality.
