TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Detectives were able to positively identify John Larson, 24, as the subject of a death investigation initiated on Wednesday evening.
Larson, who was last seen in Ybor on April 27, was found deceased in the 900 block of S. 20th Street. His next of kin has been notified.
Detectives say his body was found inside an enclosed area of a commercial business parking lot. There were no signs to suggest foul play.
“This is not the outcome we hoped for as we searched for John”, said Chief O’Connor. “Our thoughts are with his family during this time of grieving, and I have made our Police Chaplains available for any assistance they may need”.
This remains an active investigation with full toxicology results pending.
